Hydrow offers new Members the opportunity to try LYQUID risk-free for 30 days when purchased directly from the Hydrow website (hydrow.com). If you are eligible for Hydrow’s home trial, you can try your LYQUID and, if purchased with your LYQUID, any accessories for up to 30 days after your delivery. If you're not satisfied with your LYQUID experience, simply contact Hydrow Member Services within 30 days of delivery, and we'll arrange a free return of your LYQUID. We’ll also provide a return shipping label for any accessories.

Hydrow’s Home Use Limited Warranty is included at no additional cost with the purchase of a LYQUID. 

Limited Warranty Periods: 

• Structural Frame: Five (5) Years Excludes moving parts attached to the frame, such as moving arms and adjustment mechanisms.

• Components, Screen & Other Electronics:* Twelve (12) Months *Components include handles, ropes, touchscreen, monitor arm, motors, and other original electronic parts.

• Labor: Twelve (12) Months

Importantly, the Hydrow Home Use Limited Warranty and Hydrow’s Extended Limited Warranty and Accidental Damage Protection apply only to residential, in-home use of a Hydrow LYQUID. They do not apply to commercial use. For commercial inquiries, please contact commercialsales@hydrow.com.

LYQUID supports ANT+ connections and this is the preferred way to pair an HRM. Many HRMs have the option to connect via multiple methods. We do have the ability to pair Bluetooth-only HRMs if need be, but this is not the optimal method.

There are a few HRMs that we have tested and confirmed to work well with Hydrow when using ANT+ connection:

• Scosche Rhythm 24 arm-band

• OTBeat Burn armband

• Polar OH1 arm-band

• Polar Verity Sense arm-band

• Wahoo TICKR and TICKR X chest-strap models. (by ANT+ only)

• TICKR FIT armband (by ANT+ only)

We have also heard numerous reports from our users that the following models function correctly with LYQUID:

Nope! Professional installation is not required. LYQUID arrives ready to use with minimal assembly—simply unbox the machine, attach the power cord, and flip the power switch. Setup takes just a few minutes, and the on-screen guidance will walk users through calibration to ensure everything is ready for their first workout.

While the process is straightforward, we strongly recommend having a second set of hands to help unbox and position the machine safely in its desired space.

There are two modes, React Mode and Standard Mode.

React Mode uses isokinetic technology to keep movement speed consistent no matter how much force you apply.

• The harder you push or pull, the more resistance LYQUID produces.

• Muscles stay engaged through the entire rep.

• Up to 500 lbs of adaptive resistance.

• Independent studies show 5 React Mode reps can equal up to 38 traditional reps.

Standard Mode mimics traditional cable machines with up to 200 lbs of fixed resistance—ideal for progressive overload and strength-building.

React Mode introduces isokinetic training, a breakthrough method that keeps movement speed consistent throughout each lift—no matter how much force is applied. Unlike traditional weights, which rely on gravity and vary in difficulty through different parts of a movement, React Mode responds directly to the user’s effort. The harder the push or pull, the greater the resistance—ensuring muscles are engaged evenly from start to finish.

This constant-speed resistance means every phase of the lift, including the lowering or “eccentric” portion, delivers meaningful work. As a result, React Mode helps users build strength more efficiently, improve muscular control, and reduce the risk of injury. Independent studies show that just a few isokinetic reps can produce results comparable to many more repetitions of conventional strength training—making it an ideal approach for busy schedules and long-term progress.

During the first React Mode workout, users are coached through the mechanics of isokinetic movement step by step. The experience highlights how the machine adjusts dynamically to personal effort, creating a safe, responsive, and highly effective training environment that maximizes output at every stage of the motion.

LYQUID is engineered with intelligent safety systems designed to support users throughout every workout. Safety begins with a Baseline Workout, which sets personalized resistance levels to ensure all weight recommendations are tailored to the individual’s capabilities. This foundation helps prevent overexertion and promotes steady, effective progress.

During each lift, Spotter Mode actively monitors performance in real time. If the system detects that a user is struggling to complete a rep, it will automatically reduce the resistance, allowing the user to safely finish their set without compromising form. This ensures the workout stays challenging but never unsafe.

In addition to Spotter Mode, LYQUID includes built-in safeguards that detect when something doesn’t look right—such as uneven movement or motion outside the expected range. When triggered, these safeguards automatically end the set and remove resistance, ensuring the user can step away safely and confidently.

These features are introduced and coached during the first guided workout, and every movement begins with a Range of Motion calibration. This allows LYQUID to understand the user’s movement pattern and activate the right safety response at the right time.

No. While the cables come out of the base of LYQUID, they do not limit the effectiveness or variety of exercises. Our Athletes have intentionally designed and modified movements that activate the same muscle groups as traditional free-weight and overhead cable exercises. Although certain classic overhead moves (like lat pulldowns) aren’t performed from a floor-based anchor point, the same muscles are worked through alternative bench- and ground-based movements, delivering a full-body, well-balanced, and highly effective workout.

LYQUID currently supports over 300 varied exercises that let you train your entire body in one system—from targeted strength work to dynamic, full-body movement. 

For example, upper-body options include presses, rows, curls, flys, and triceps work. Lower-body training spans squats, lunges, deadlifts, hip drives, and calf raises. Core work ranges from planks and side bends to rotational lifts, and full-body movements like thrusters, low-to-high lifts, bear crawls, and plank variations tie everything together for efficient, well-rounded workouts. 

Yes—LYQUID can cover a full strength workout through both structured programs and flexible single-select exercises across upper-body, lower-body, core, and full-body training. The LYQUID library includes progressive programs that run two, three, or four days per week, with workouts sequenced to balance muscle groups and build strength over time without requiring you to plan or choose weights. If you want more control, you can also single-select workouts or short sessions focused on a specific area, making it easy to target what you need or fit strength training into a short window.

Accessories are not required but are highly recommended to unlock the full LYQUID range of motion and movement variety. For a full experience, we recommend: 

• Hydrow LYQUID Bench ($125): A sturdy, padded flat bench built to support your full training potential, with adjustable legs for secure integration. 

• Hydrow LYQUID Barbell ($100) : Unlocks classic strength moves like bench presses, front squats, and more. 

• Hydrow LYQUID Ankle Straps ($50): Targets your lower body with precision, this secure and comfortable helps you tone and power where it counts the most. Comes as a set of two. 

• Hydrow LYQUID Rope ($60): Crafted from heavy-duty nylon rope with rubberized grip ends and built-in plastic bushings for long-lasting durability, this rope will take your arm and upper body training further. Use it for curls, face pulls, rows, and other cable-based movements to add variety and strength to your workouts.

Yes, a Hydrow Membership ($50/month) is required to unlock the full LYQUID experience, including access to exclusive LYQUID workout content and the full Hydrow app library, which features yoga, Pilates, circuit training, and mobility. Members train with expert coaches, follow structured programs, and receive ongoing access to new features and modes as they’re released.

You will be guided through membership setup as part of the standard LYQUID setup process. After entering your account details and setting up your personal profile on your LYQUID, you’ll be prompted to select your membership option (e.g., monthly vs. yearly plans), enter your billing information, and sign up as the admin for your account.

Your LYQUID shipment date will be listed on the cart page, and Hydrow will communicate via email when your product is on the way.

Currently LYQUID is US-only.

Yes, LYQUID requires power and internet to be used. We strongly suggest using LYQUID where a strong internet connection (Wi-Fi or Ethernet) is available. This should be well-within the capability of most homes that use a Broadband internet service (Cable, Fiber etc.)
