James is a competitor at heart, but not the kind that takes himself too seriously. After years of distance running, James found himself on the rower, seeking a new competitive outlet. He quickly rowed to the World Cup in Lucerne and the U23 World Championship in Hazewinkel, Belgium — and he’ll push you to new limits, too.

Mac is a goofball, Irish Step Dancer, and former D1 collegiate rower. A lifelong, dedicated athlete, Mac picked up rowing in college and improved with persistence and patience, reaching the NCAA Rowing Championships. Mac finds joy and motivation in the team aspect of rowing, and she thinks you will, too.

Manteo is the unstoppable Olympian who kept competing in the 4x400-meter relay even after breaking his left fibula mid-race — he still brought home the silver medal. With hyper-competitive energy, charm, confidence, and a larger-than-life sense of humor, Manteo makes every session incredibly motivating to help you realize your maximum potential.

A Liverpool, England native, Mike grew up rowing, mostly to stay out of trouble. That early training paid off — Mike has won the British National Championship, raced for Great Britain, and placed in the U.S. National Championship. As an Athlete and dad of two, Mike knows a thing or two about making time for fitness.

Following a University rowing career, Owen first stumbled into a yoga studio thinking he’d never enjoy it and emerged with a new, healthy obsession and profession (in addition to his work as a hospital dietitian for children with diabetes). Practicing with Owen uncovers physical and mental benefits, bringing you to a more connected state.

As an Olympian, conditioning coach, corrective exercise expert, and strength and movement specialist, Peter serves as Hydrow’s Director of Fitness. As a mom, Marine Veteran, and Athlete, Rina knows what it takes to rise to a challenge. A cheerleader at heart, she’ll inspire you to do your best and accomplish more than you think is possible.

Drawn to physical challenges, Sera walked onto her college crew team as a sophomore. While Sera has suffered a number of setbacks due to injuries, she’s always found the will, grit, and mental toughness to get back in the boat and push. Sera won silver at the 2025 World Rowing Beach Sprints and has won at back-to-back Canadian Henleys.
